After a week of pondering I have officially decided to discontinue this blog.

With my new MySpace site up I felt I needed to make some changes and this is one of them. Their are so many political blogs out their and this I felt just did not get a lot of notice.

I am trying a different approach with MySpace focusing on Life & Leisure topics and Entertainment. I might throw in some politics once in awhile but not as much as it was here at TBatD.

I plan to leave my blog up for awhile. Afterwards I intend to take it down.

With this new site on Myspace I am really looking into discontinueing this blog. After a few years it seems that this blog has not gotten the attention I hoped for. Also I have not said much and done more links to commentaries if anything.

It takes time to put my blog up, and its not as easy as it looks. I will let you know what my final desision will be. Very likely I will end this blog.

I shall make it short and to the point.

About 11 years ago I became quanited with a man by the name of Jeff Short.

He invited a high profile guest to speak at his church and while it did not draw a big crowd it still would led to a friendship this pastor. This high profile person for sure caught my attention and I came.

Allthough his attempt to start a church in Colorado Springs failed he still continued in the minstry.

He moved away but some how we lost touch with each other. I was thinking about him lately and would like to touch base with me.

I found a E-Mail and I am hoping that its him, and I did send an E-Mail before writing this post on my blog.

CBS: Well not much to say but that 'Old Christine' is not the ratings getter as 'Rules of Engagement' is and Engagement is a better fit with 'Two and a Half Men.' The last seven episodes of 'King of Queens' being sandwitched between Men and 'CSI: Miami' is great sendoff for the veteran sitcom.

Regarding Old Christine: Seinfeld curse lifted??? We all might have spoken too soon. CAUTION: 'Dancing With the Stars' Season four ahead and 'How I Met Your Mother along with 'Old Christine' will be in its line of fire. So will NBC's 'Deal or No Deal.'

ABC: If they can't have football anymore then how about 'Dancing With the Stars?' Better than what they have on now Monday nights. ABC needs some payback with FOX stilling going strong with 'American Idol.' I can's see any of the replacement Scripted shows making it into the next season.

Why bring back 'Six Degrees' guys. Does this have to do with J.J. Abrams and his Bad Robot outfit. How about burning off 'The Nine.' 'Traveler' sounds like a 'Prison Break' copycat more/less.

FOX: Way to many misfires in the early season and I just don't see another live action sitcom attempt on Sunday nights doing well. What might save 'The Winner' is the Seth McFarelane connection (Family Guy, American Dad). 'Drive' is iffie and 'The Wedding Bells' is on Fridays...Wish your success. Overnight results for Sunday nights in just a few minutes. Even if Winner does well this week...The weeks to come will tell.

NBC: The replacment show that I think will make it is 'Thank God You're Here.' They have ways to go.

The CW: The show in which one young lady will win a spot in the pop group 'Pussycat Dolls' should do as well as 'America's Next Top Model.' Problem is how can you keep a show like that going???

The TV Midseason

This has become more and more of a trend in Prime Time TV. Mainly because certain shows that happen to fail to connect with the audience so they see if a midseason replacement can make the grade.

Hey 'All In the Family,' and 'Three's Company' are just two examples if midseason replacements that turned into big hits. More recently dramas 'The Unit' and 'Numb3rs' (both air on CBS) began as midseason replacements. It also turns out that 'Rules of Engagement' might be just what CBS needs inbetween 'Two and Half Men' and 'CSI: Miami.' since that is a freshmen show that has proven to do VERY well.

Out of only the freshmen shows Rules trails NBC's 'Heroes.'

No Nancy the real reason why George Jones does not get airplay on Country radio or at least those stations that focus on current Country Hits just can't see Jones mixed in with the likes of Rascal Flatts, Keith Urban, Tim McGraw, Alan Jackson, George Strait etc etc. Ditizie Twits would have been in their but they just think they can offend people and get away with it.

Once again its the radio stations being consistent and while the Country Programmers may respect Jones and other Country Legends they also have to think about the programing of the radio station. There is a growing number of Country Stations that are focusing on Classic Country hits. I am sure that Jones will feel at home their.

I am sure that people like Jones might support a FCC regulation that requries Country stations to play one or two legends an hour. Hey let us not forget Roy Clark, Haggard, Glenn Campbell, cause they have a 'right' to be played on Country radio.

DENNIS KUCINICH (D-OH), making a surprise appearance, said that in his new capacity as Chairman of the Domestic Policy Subcommittee of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, he would hold hearings on media ownership and the restoration of the Fairness Doctrine.

"We know the media has become the servant of a very narrow corporate agenda," KUCINICH said, adding that "the entire domestic agenda has been ignored while the focus has been on the acceleration of wealth upwards." "We are now in a position to move a progressive agenda to where it is visible," the OHIO Congressman and Presidential candidate said.

Also at the conference, FCC Commissioner MICHAEL COPPS repeated his negative opinion of the media, scolding broadcasters for taking "half a trillion dollars" (his "conservative valuation of the airwaves") and giving back "too little news, too much baloney passed off as news. Looks like it is not going to stop with talk radio, but its going to be regulation across the board. As Denver based talk show host Mike Rosen says a liberal does not care what you do as long as its legal.

So now you must have more scripted sitcoms/dramas, quotas for what kind of music to play...hey the Great White North has the Can/Con rule.

Two weeks ago I had a family emergency. My Mother had an Heart Attack in the parking lot at the shopping mall she worked at. She was taken to a local Hospital and they tried to save her.

Sadly a week later my Mother died she was basically brain dead.

We are preparing for her Memorial Service which will been held this week in CS.

Midseason Predictions

With the overnight results about to be posted for Sunday night, I feel its about time to get this up. Readings will return soon...I Hope!!!

Sundays: NBC will hang tough with Crossing Jordan but I don't see the Grease audition show and Trump's LA season doing well.

Mondays: This will be a night to watch to see how well three shows that are popular among the 18-34 demo. Those shows are CBS's Two and Half Men, NBC's Heroes, and FOX's 24. I expect Heroes to win but 24 should still be on the climb. If Men benefits from this battle...God Help us. I hate Charlie Sheen. Also to watch is CBS's sitcoms since their is a lot of shifting to come. They are looking to make 'Rules of Engagement' a hit...and 'The King of Queens' will get a series sendoff as well. I don't expect The Class to go beyond its first season.

Tuesdays: Here comes American Karaoke (that what I call Idol). Everyone else move aside...but CBS has done well counterprograming with NCIS. CBS will also do well with The Unit but FOX takes the night cause House is on after Karaoke.

Wednesdays: After the Super Bowl, CBS's Criminal Minds will get big ratings. ABC's Lost should continue to do well now that its been moved away from Mind's and American Karaoke results show. Can Howie and his ladies hang tough however???

Thursdays: ABC and CBS continue to duke it out. Ugly Betty will not quite detrone Survivor just yet. Grey could be on its way of being the show that beat CSI. NBC will hang tough with Earl and The Office.
