Deny, Deny, Deny: The only thing that the old media can do

With the downfall of Mary Mapes and four other CBS News staffers, the only thing that the media can do is sweep this under the rug quickly and move on and/or use the downfall of black conservative commentator Armstrong Williams to steer most of us away from Dan Rather.

The Denver Post in a house editorial could only say that journalists make mistakes.

Keith Olbermann of MSNBC says that CBS is a victim but FOX News Channel; they are the bad guy, the devil incarnate. CBS played within the "rules of journalism." Let us not forget that FNC ad the swift boat vet ads. Guilty by Association.

REgressive talk show host Ed Schultz tried to dodge the issue on Monday, but his audience would not let him. So the only thing he could say on Tuesday was how so many people in journalism work their butts off to go from the small markets to the elite in New York City and the like. Hey his online poll says CBS can be trusted 74 to 26 percent.

Yep the media just eats it all up, it was just a mistake. Hey that's the way REgressives think when they are in control of the newsroom.

The fact is that conservatives tend to avoid journalism schools and go towards careers in things that are business related. Journalism is part of the "liberal fine arts" in most places of higher learning. Sadly I don't have the sense for business since the math skills I have stink to high heaven. So I took some journalism on the side. Hey someone has to be in the minority when it comes to the craft of journalism. Plus you can't say that I am not a journalist because I am. I may not work for a magazine or newspaper yet, but I am trained. But I do support fellow bloggers because they make observations and then post them.

To be a journalist and a conservative can be a challenge, especially if your in the elite media. Just ask Brit Hume and John Stossel. These men were shunned at ABC News for what they believe. Hume went to FOX News Channel, but Stossel is hanging tough.

All and all nothing will change in the media, Dan Rather will still be a great guy who just made a mistake. CBS News lost ratings but still made money on their evening newscast so Rather stayed longer than Walter "Crankenhouse" Cronkite.

It has to said time and again. Their worldview is "mainstream" in their eyes. Always have and likely it will always will be. That worldview includes a Government that serves as a nanny to us all, because everyone else is heartless.

Got to love how socialists think.
