Does Canada Ever Learn????

Several Indy Canadian record companies are pulling out of the CRTC (which is their version of our FCC). I think its called the Canadian Radio and Television Commission.

These recording companies think that the CRTC is going to change the rules that might 'hurt' developing Canadian musicans. For years the Canadian media had to deal with a quota in which a certain percentage of music had to come from their own country.

This country is starting to see the pitfalls of a nanny state. Let us hope that can move in the right direction.

Oh and what I do I think of this. If the CRTC has any brains they would do away with these quotas alltogether, and let their free market determine what is a hit record in The Great White North.

Well it could have stood for Television at one time before the word Telecommunications was hip.

Thanks BP.
