Air America Radio Speaks UP!!!

Now they are saying that Al Franken has nothing to do with it.

Hey just a bunch of rightys trying to prevent liberals from doing their brand of Talk Radio I guess.

Still lets not forget the fact that regardless of whom is runing that leftist network. They did a no-no regarding taking moneys that are ment to help POOR KIDS!!!

But hey the left makes the rules. Its only the rest of us that have to obey them...RIGHT???!!!

More power to ya Air America, your friends in the media will give you cover as they are able to unlike some other companies I can name

Story from Radio & Records

Who is the Liar Now Al Franken??? Who Is REALLY THE BIG FAT IDIOT NOW Al Franken???

As you may know by now Air America Radio got put on the hot seat when it was found out that certain moneys that AAR got were from a New York Boys & Girls club.

However what we did not know that Al Franken himself was part of payback loan deal that was signed off back in November 2004. A few weeks ago Franken said he was never part of this nor did he know about it until recently...now who is lying Mr. Franken?

For someone who thinks that Clinton was a great President, now know why Franken loved Clinton? Like Clinton, like Franken. They lied about their actions. They learned a lot from each other. Indeed

Franken like Clinton may get off scott free along with AAR. The question now is, will Clear Channel (and some other radio companies) remain commited to the Progressive Talk format??? Granted some stations that have flipped to Progressive Talk showed some signs of life with this format, but a station in Charleston, SC felt that Progressive Talk was not working so they dropped the format just last week.

Also if Air America falls can Democracy Radio pick up the slack in their quest for keeping Socialist Talk Radio alive? Just make sure your hands are clean, or you might be suffering the same fate as AAR. Good thing you turned Ed "Darth Fargo" Schultz loose to Randy Michaels new company.

I am been very supportive of the Progressive Talk format, and I say that as someone that is a radio broadcaster and loves the medium. I have wanted to see this format thrive even since Ed Schultz, and AAR got so much publicity from their allies in the media. Now it seems you have got Brian Maloney and Michelle Malkin breathing down your necks and maybe hoping that this will kill the left's beloved brand of Talk Radio...I don't know.

Al Franken was truly leading the charge ratings wise regarding Progressive Talk. On many stations he was a led in for Darth Fargo, and he benefited from Franken's program.

As I said before Franken will get off Scott Free and the people that love him and his politics will nine times out of ten forgive him. After all he is a good...no make that GREAT LIBERAL DEMOCRAT that in the words of Darth Fargo himself "cares for the working folk."

Yea by making all of us work 10X's hard for someone we don't know (tax and redistribute the wealth), have a federal government that dominates in every aspect of our lives while people like Franken live in their own private world with money to burn, giving the rest of us the snub.

Well right now I am enjoying the fact I can snub at your Mr. Franken. Me, Rush (the man you wish you could detrone and become the Godfather of Talk Radio), and every "Righty" you placed your curse upon. The cruse didn't work you freaken idiot.

Help The Victims of Hurricane Katrina

Many other outlets have offered links to organizations that help the victims of Hurricane Katrina. Just in case people forget "The Blog according to Don" is going to make sure that people DON'T FORGET THIS!!! Neal Boortz is concerned about the Euro-Idiots looking down upon us and mocking us just because we don't "Help."

Euros never miss a chance to mock us due to our long time rebellion to their ideals of how Government should be.

People do help but they need to be reminded just like I have to remind some of my friends to read my stuff here on the Blog.

So if you have money that can go to the Katrina victims then give it. It will be an uphill battle for these people. Whatever you do DON'T LET OUR POLITICIANS (on both sides) RUN WITH THIS!!!!

Who to give it to??? Take Your Pick.

The 2005 Fall TV Lineup: Who Makes it

Here are the show I think have a chance to make it beyond the fall and one series/season:

FOX:
Prison Break (this one looks like a winner for FOX. So far it appears to be holding)

The War at Home (Being sandwiched among cartoons it might have a chance)

Bones (It might get the younger audience that would not care for any of CSI's)

ABC

Night Stalker (Will not overtake CSI, could give The Donald a run for the money. Alias as a lead in might help)

Invasion (With Lost moving into the 7/8 slot will people turn away from CSI: NY, especially if they streech into the next hour. ABC hopes so and I think that might happen.)

CBS

How I Met Your Mother (The flashback ideal might get its viewing to hang in their. This show is sandwiched between King Of Queens & Two and a Half Men. The later may not be Raymond but proves to be a keeper for CBS.

Close to Home (Should be able to keep the Amazing Race viewers...the adults ones that is.)

Threshold (Its a long shot but better than that Ghost show)

NBC

I can't really see anything in the fall lineup that might make it, that unless Martha Stewart is still loved by people.

UPN

Everybody Hates Chris (This network is known for longshots, but maybe people want to know about Chris Rock's childhood blues)

The WB

Nothing impreses me.

How does the recent Hurricane Expose the Man-Made Disaster of the Welfare State

Robert Tracinski tells you all about it when you click this link.

More on Celine Dion's Big Fat Mouth and what she REALLY DOES!!!

On Larry King's program on CNN Celine Dion said she would give $1 Million Dollars toward the relief effort.

Truth is Celine Dion has NOT given $1 Million, but her companies have. Two different things people, and on top of that it should be noted that Dion has made hateful statements regarding our U.S. Milltary. She is from Canada anyway...the French speaking part of it that is.

Maybe the mindless fans will turn on her and stop attending her Las Vegas shows. Hopefuly Caesars Palace will cancel her contact and go back to Quebec with her husband and child in tow.

Will that happen??? NO!!!

Celine Dion and Barbra Streisand. Yes they have much in common. I was waiting for the day when Dion would show her true feelings for our nation.

You two can go to hell as far I am concerned.

Never Mind Love...Let's Talk About SHUTING YOUR MOUTH UP Miss. Celine Dion. Speaking & Singing.

And while your at it, in the words of Napoleon Dynamite; "Why don't you go eat a decorded piece of crap."

Now some common sense from Gunny Bob Newman

I am a Recovering Christian: Afterthoughts

Some of you may have read that earlier piece on my blog.

So that you know, I could always have a change of heart. Right now I really don't want to make any apperances in most churches. I feel that I don't fit anywere.

I do want to share one thing a friend who still calls himself a Christian told me today.

The Bible is not by any means a bandage you cover up your wounds with. I tend to agree that it is not a quick fix, and sadly too many Christians see it that way.

Celine Dion: Just like Barbara Streisand and Related Thoughts

French-Canadian singer Celine Dion has been compared to Barbara Streisand regarding her International stardom as a pop singer in the 1990's. The only thing that was missing was outspoken political statements that Streisand is known for.

That has now changed. Dion said in an interview with Larry King on CNN that she sympathizes with the looters in New Orleans.

Here is what she said.

"Oh, they're stealing 20 pair of jeans or they're stealing television sets. Who cares? They're not going to go too far with it. Maybe those people are so poor, some of the people who do that they're so poor they've never touched anything in their lives. Let them touch those things for once."

Dion said that we are making a big deal about the looting. OK Miss Dion, if they were looting food, water, Coke, Pepsi, etc I would not have a problem with that because those are items that people would go after in this time of need, but to encourage them to loot other things??? Shame, Shame, Shame. Hey it’s like what the title of this post said. She is like Barbs in so many ways.

At least Dion knew that at one time she was poor, and during her childhood her family was trying to make ends meet. It should be noted that Celine is the youngest of 14 children. One of things that kept the family going was the love the music. Adhemar and Therese Dion (Celine's parents) owned a small club which featured musical performances by the Dion family.

Celine had a greater ambition, to get a recording contract and become a pop star. Her family sent her demo to a man named Rene Angelil (who Celine would marry in 1993) and risked everything to make Celine a local pop star, and it paid off for Angelil. Celine Dion became a pop star in Quebec and even in France. Now during the 1980's the songs she wrote and/or sung in her native language. By the late 1980's she wanted to go international and she did what she had to do including learning the English language to become an International Pop Star. In 1990 she would release her first English recording "Unison" she was on her way to making her big dreams reality.

So Celine can speak from experience regarding those who looted down in New Orleans...RIGHT??? I think she is dead wrong on the money. Even in a time of crisis you should never encourage people to loot things that ARE NOT necessities, and TV's are not a necessity. She, like many other musicians and artists are slamming the U.S. government for "its slow response" to the impact that Katrina left behind.

First of all the state of Louisiana should have been the ones to come to the aid of the citizens of New Orleans and they failed miserably, but never mind, it’s the fault of George W. Bush, and yes Bush's PR sucked beyond a reasonable doubt. Neverless Louisiana Governor Kathleen Blanco, New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin can never pass up a change for the desperate Democrats who want to regain power in 2006 and 2008, and will milk this tragedy for what is worth.

As for Celine Dion, I never cared for her music, her voice, the fact she got popular, and I really can't stand "My Heart Will Go On" (I'll take Sarah Brightman's version any day). I have to admit I heard a bit of her early recordings and man I kind of like her voice in her teen years. Maybe that's why Angeil took a chance on her.

Their are so few female pop stars I can enjoy. I think I shall save my thoughts on that for another post.

Story from World Net Daily regarding comments made by Celine Dion

Christopher Ruddy lays the blame right were it belongs

Laura Ingraham is known her statement and book called "Shut up and Sing." I can do better than that for Celine Dion. Shut up and retire, but that will not happen since she is under contact to sing in Las Vegas until 2007. One can hope she will retire by then.

Yea I am just a guy, and its the women who buy her lousy records. Stay tuned, I may have something to say about female pop stars...and I mean VERY SOON!!!

Another Vacancy on the Supreme Court

This time it's due to the death of Chief Justice William H. Rehnquist who died of Cancer.

Story from FOX News

Expect the left to do what they can to make sure that only leftys and swingers are the replacements not only for Sandra Day O'Connor but Rehnquist as well. The formor was known to be a swinger, Rehnquist was a strict Constitutionalist and the left does not want that at all. They need someone that will hold "Civil Liberties" even at the expense of not looking towards our Constitution or even American law (including the states).

I have mixed feelings about this. The people I would like to see on our courts would be that understand not only what Constitution says but also understand the need for limited government. Mostly these people would be libertarian in nature.

I don't want to see Roe V. Wade (regarding a woman's right not to reproduce/abortion) overturned nor do I want to see gays/lesbians prosecuted just because they engage in love making that is seen unnormal to certain hetrosexuals.

Yet I do have issues with the courts looking towards other countries or even other documents outside of the United States Constitution in the laws in country at all levels, even if the court rules right in PRINCIPLE. When the court stucked down sodomy laws in Texas it was reported that the judges ruling in favor of striking down these Texas laws looked towards the laws in several European countries in accounting for their decision.

However I do agree with Neal Boortz that sleeping with the same sex should not be a crime, but taking someone elses property or life IS and SHOULD be a crime.

Neal's comments from the Neal Nuze June 27, 2003

Keep in mind that the 10 Commandments Ex-Judge Roy Moore is just as much an activist judge as those activist judges on the left. He was not afraid to use the Bible when ruling in which he did regarding Gay adoption, as pointed out in a recent issue of libertarian magazine "Reason."

Anyway this week, John Roberts will face a lot of questions, especially from the Boxers, the Kennedy's, and any Dem that can skin him alive. That should begin on Tuesday since Monday is Jerry Lewis/Labor Day. I plan to talk about that tomorrow.
